How many residents do you take per year?
This match year, we will be accepting three residents.
How many applications do you receive? How many do you interview?
Most years over 400 applications are received, of which 80-90 are interviewed.
When do residency interviews take place?
Usually the 1st and 2nd Saturday of December. (An additional alternate weekday is offered to applicants who are not able to schedule their interview on our main interview weekends). This year, the interviews will be held on Saturday, December 3rd, 2011.
If selected for an interview, you will be contacted via email with the confirmed interview dates and times, how to confirm your interview date/slot, and the materials you will need to bring with you to your interview. Parking, lodging, and interview day agenda information will be included along with this email.
Do you have a USMLE Step 1 cut-off?
No, we do not screen based on a minimum score. However, most of the applicants interviewed have 2-digit scores above 90.
Do you accept COMLEX-I scores in lieu of the USMLE Step 1?
Yes.
Are USMLE Step 2 scores required?
No, but they can be helpful if available.
Do you accept osteopathic physicians (D.O.s)?
Yes, one of our current residents is a D.O.
Is research experience a requirement for applicants?
No, but having solid research experience is definitely a positive addition to your application.
Are supplemental materials required for my application?
Feel free to send any additional materials you feel may strengthen your application. Please send these materials by email (Kelly.McAnally@DrexelMed.edu) or to our mailing address:
