Radiology Residency Program

The radiology residency is a four-year, ACGME-approved diagnostic residency program. The Drexel University College of Medicine radiology residency program is situated primarily at Hahnemann University Hospital.

The radiology residency is a four-year, ACGME-approved diagnostic residency program. Diagnostic radiology training occurs at our primary training hospital site, Hahnemann University Hospital. St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, located in Northeast Philadelphia, serves as our partner for pediatric radiology.

Hahnemann University Hospital

Hahnemann University Hospital is located in downtown Philadelphia, PA. The hospital is a 540-bed tertiary care academic medical center with more than 550 house staff in various residency and fellowship programs. This academic medical center specializes in cardiac services, heart failure and transplantation, OB/GYN, medical and radiation oncology, bone marrow transplantation, renal dialysis and kidney/pancreas transplantation. The Centers for Bariatric Surgery and Bloodless Medicine and Surgery are two other examples of the wide variety of services offered to our patients.

Hahnemann Facts

  • Hahnemann became Philadelphia's first Level I Trauma Center for adults in 1986.
  • The Heart Hospital at Hahnemann is a 198-bed dedicated unit, opened in 1993 as one of the first cardiac centers of its type in the region.
  • Hahnemann was designated as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission in 2008.
