From University Park Airport:
Exit airport by turning left on to Fox Hollow Road, then proceed on this road to the traffic light at the intersection with Park Avenue. Turn right onto Park Avenue. Proceed on this road to the 5th traffic light. Turn left on to Atherton Street (Business Route 322 East).  After passing the hotel on your left, turn left onto Beaver Avenue (Rte 26 North) Make an immediate left turn onto Cresson Alley. At the second stop sign turn left onto Calder Way. Proceed to the end of the alley into the Atherton Hotel parking deck entrance.

From the South on I-83:
Follow Route I-83 North to Rte 1-81 South. At Harrisburg take Route 322 West through Lewistown to Business Route 322 West (Atherton Street). Follow Business Route 322 West through Boalsburg into downtown State College (about 5 miles.)  Proceed straight through the traffic light on Beaver Avenue (Route 26N). The Atherton Hotel is ½ block on the right.

From Baltimore:
Follow Route 1-695 West/North toward Towson. Follow directions above thereafter.

From I-80:
Take Exit 161 Bellefonte, proceed on US 220 South. Take Exit 73 to Route 322 East. Follow Route 322 East for about 2 miles. Take the exit for Route 26 (College Avenue). At the traffic light, turn right and follow Route 26 South into downtown State College. At the 5th traffic light, turn left onto Burrowes Street. Half way up the block, turn right on to Calder Way. Follow the alley into the Atherton Hotel parking deck entrance.

From New York:
Follow Route 15 South (to Williamsport) to Route I-80 West. Follow directions above thereafter.

From New England Area:
Follow Route I-84 and Route I-81 to Route I-80 West. Follow directions above thereafter.

From Harrisburg:
Follow Route I-83 North to Route I-81 South. Follow Route 322 West through Lewistown to Business Route 322 West (Atherton Street.) Follow Business Route 322 West through Boalsburg intodowntown State College (about 5 miles.) Proceed straight through the traffic light at Beaver Avenue (Route 26 North). The Atherton Hotel is up ½ block on the right.

From Philadelphia:
Follow the Schuylkill Expressway (Route 1-76) to the PA Turnpike (Route 1-76 West). Take the PA Turnpike to exit 247 (Harrisburg East). Follow directions above thereafter.

From Pittsburgh:
Follow Route 22 East to Route 220 North/Route 1-99 in Altoona. Then follow Route 322 East to Business Route 322 East (Atherton Street) into downtown State College. From Ohio, Indiana and Michigan:
Follow Route I-80 East to the Woodland Exit, then follow Route 322 East through Philipsburg to State College. Exit onto Business Route 322 East (Atherton Street). After passing the hotel on your left, turn left on to Beaver Avenue (Route 26 North). Make an immediate left turn on to Cresson Alley. At the second stop sign, turn left on to Calder Way. From I-476 (Blue Route):
Follow I-476 South to I-95 North and use above directions.

From Western Pennsylvania on the Turnpike:
Exit the Turnpike at Interchange #326 - (old exit 24), King of Prussia, and go east on I-76 4.6 miles to exit 331A - (old exit 28A). Follow I-476 South 15.5 mile. Then Proceed North onto I-95 and use above directions from Delaware and South.

From Schuylkill Expressway:
Go East on the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) to exit 347A Penrose Avenue - Philadelphia International Airport. Turn right at the traffic light onto Route 291 West.  Go across the Platt Bridge to the traffic light at Island Avenue. This is just prior to the airport with the Hilton Hotel, Sheraton Suites and Four Points Hotel located at the intersection. Turn right onto Island Avenue. From I-76 - Schuylkill Expressway (Center City, western suburbs):
From I-76, take the exit for US Route 1 North, Roosevelt Expressway. After about 2½ miles the road will divide into inner and outer lanes. Take either the first or second crossover to get into the far outer lanes. Go about another 2 miles and you will come to the hospital on the right hand side. Turn right at the Langdon Street traffic light to enter the Hospital’s main gate.

From Pennsylvania Turnpike:
Take Exit 28 (Philadelphia) and get onto Route 1 South. Stay in the inner lanes of this divided highway. Once you have crossed the Philadelphia city line, you will drive about 10 miles. When you pass Summerdale Avenue, you will see a sign for Friends Hospital on your left hand side. Get into left hand turning lane (which is Langdon Street) and enter the hospital’s main gate.

From Allentown:
Take PA 476 South (N.E. Extension) to PA Turnpike East to Exit 28 (US Route 1 Phila.). Stay in the inner lanes of this divided highway. Once you have crossed the Philadelphia city line you will drive about 10 miles. The hospital will be on your far left, immediately past Summerdale Avenue. Turn left at the Langdon Street traffic light to enter the hospital’s main gate.

From Bucks County or North Jersey:
Take Route 1 South, which is Roosevelt Boulevard. Stay in the inner lanes of this divided highway. Once you have crossed the Philadelphia city line you will drive about 10 miles. The hospital will be on your far left, immediately past Summerdale Avenue. Turn left at the Langdon Street traffic light to enter the hospital’s main gate.

From Eastern Montgomery County:
Take Route 309 South to Cheltenham Avenue. Take Cheltenham South to its end at Tacony Creek Park, and turn right. Turn left at the first light onto Adams Avenue. Take Adams about one mile to Roosevelt Boulevard, Route 1 and follow signs to Route 1 North. Be sure to stay in the far right lane when you make the left hand turn since you will be making an immediate right into one of the two gates of Friends Hospital. The main gate is at the next traffic light. Turn right at the Langdon Street traffic light to enter the hospital’s main gate.

From North of Philadelphia (Bucks County):
Take I-95 South to Cottman Avenue Exit. At the bottom of ramp, cross through traffic light one block to Cottman Avenue. Turn right onto Cottman Avenue. Follow Cottman Avenue to Roosevelt Boulevard (Route 1). Make a left onto Roosevelt Boulevard and at first cross-over, get into center set of lanes -- left lane. When you pass Summerdale Avenue, you will see a sign for Friends Hospital on your left hand side. Get into left hand turning lane (which is Langdon Street) and enter the hospital’s main gate.

From South Jersey:
Take Route 73 to the Tacony Palmyra Bridge into Philadelphia and stay straight on Levick Street to Roosevelt Boulevard Route 1 South. Turn left onto Roosevelt Boulevard and stay in the far left lanes. The hospital is about 2 miles south immediately passed Summerdale Avenue. Turn left at the Langdon Street traffic light to enter the hospital’s main gate.

From South of Philadelphia (Philadelphia Airport, Delaware):
Take I-95 North to I-76 West. Take the exit for US Route 1 North, Roosevelt Expressway. After about 2½ miles the road will divide into inner and outer lanes. By Public Transportation:

From Northeast Extension:

West on Route 22/78 to 100 South.  Take 100 South to 222 South.  Follow 222 South approximately 20 miles.  Take the 222 South Exit (NOT 222 BUSINESS), entering onto a 4 lane bypass.  Continue 9 miles on 222 South to Route 422 East to the N. Wyomissing Blvd. exit.  Exit and then turn Right at the first light on Park Road.  The inn is 3 blocks down on the left.

From Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, and Ohio:
Head East on the PA Turnpike to Exit 286.  Follow 222 North to Papermill Road exit.  Bear right at the bottom of exit onto Crossing Drive.  At “T”, make left onto Sprint Street.  At 1st traffic light, make left turn onto Park Rd.  Inn will be on the left.

From Washington D.C., Baltimore, York and Lancaster:
Take I-95 North to 695 North to 83 North to York.  Then take 30 East to Lancaster.  Follow 222 North to Papermill Road exit.  Bear right at the bottom of exit onto Crossing Drive.  At “T”, make left onto Sprint Street.  At 1st traffic light, make left turn onto Park Rd.  The inn will be on the left.

From Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey:
Head West on the PA Turnpike to Exit 298.  Follow 176 N 8 miles to 422 West.  Take 422 West to the N. Wyomissing Blvd. exit.  Take a left at the stop sign, then a right onto Park Road.  The inn is 3 blocks down on the left.  OR  take the Schuylkill Expressway to Route 422 West to N. Wyomissing Blvd. exit.  Take a left at the stop sign, then a right at 1st traffic light onto Park road.  The inn will be on the left.

From Wilkes-Barre and Scranton:
Take 81 South to Frackville to 61 South.  Then take 61 South to 222 South to Route 422 East.  Take 422 East to the N. Wyomissing Blvd. exit.  Take the Exit and turn Right at 1st traffic light onto Park road.  The inn will be on the left.
 
From Hershey and Lebanon:
