APPLICATION OVERVIEW

With rare exceptions, candidates must be at the associate professor level or higher and hold a faculty position at either a U.S. or Canadian medical, dental or public health school (see our FAQs for more information). They must be nominated by either the dean of their medical, dental or public health school or the CEO of their academic health center.
Both the qualifications of the candidate and the commitment of her institution to support her participation in ELAM and her future career development are considered in the selection process.
An institution may nominate up to two candidates and must be prepared to support however many are accepted.
