BOARD REVIEW COURSE

The purpose of this course is to provide a forum for internal medicine residents to review pertinent material in preparation for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification exam. The course will cover all subspecialties of internal medicine and associated specialties. Applicants will receive a concise review of sample board-related material. Workshops will be case-based and interactive.
Who should attend:
- Third year Internal Medicine Residents (graduating class of June 2008)
- Recertifying Internists: Also invited to attend are practicing physicians in Internal Medicine from residency classes of 1997 and earlier seeking to review their internal medicine course material in preparation for recertification examination by the ABIM. These groups will also seek continuing medical education credits: AMA, AOA, AAFP.
- Physicians in practice who desire Continuing Medical Education (CME) and appropriate certification in Internal and Family Medicine. Subspecialists in Internal Medicine and other physicians seeking a foundation of medical knowledge and review and CME credit will find this program of great educational value (see accreditation statement).
Learning Objectives:
After attending the course participants will be able to:
- Recognize major areas of internal medicine appropriate
for the ABIM examination;
- Review specific subspecialty information frequently
found in clinical practice and the ABIM examination questions;
- Identify areas of internal medicine specialty and subspecialty knowledge requiring additional selective study;
- Discuss frequent internal medicine case presentations;
- Institute diagnostic and treatment strategies;
- Develop a sound plan for study and review in preparation
for the ABIM certification and recertification examinations.

Tuition fee includes syllabus of all formal slides, continuing education certification, daily breakfast and box lunch.
REFUND POLICY
- A charge of $50 will be assessed for cancellations prior to May 9, 2008. Cancellations must be in writing via e-mail, fax or by mail postmarked prior to May 9, 2008. Cancellations will not be accepted nor refunds issued on or after May 9, 2008.
