MINI-MED II

The Pulmonary System
See curriculum page for details

October 21, 2008 - November 25, 2008
Classes are on Tuesday evenings
7:00pm to 9:00pm

Drexel University College of Medicine
2900 Queen Lane
Philadelphia, PA

Mini-Med II is offered each fall and follows the same format but with a different curriculum.

Mini-Med II is an six-week medical education program open to anyone in the community interested in the latest medical advances and interested in learning how they can better understand their own care.

Drexel University College of Medicine is the first medical school in the Philadelphia region to offer this type of program to the community. Mini-Medical School meets one night a week for six weeks. Classes are held on the medical school campus, which is on Queen Lane in the East Falls area of Philadelphia.

Join us and be a part of this excitement.

Much like a rotating third-year medical student experiences rotations in various specialities, Mini-Med II offers our students an in-depth look at one specific medical discipline offering an opportunity to discover the more finite points of total care and treatment within one medical specialty. Each lecture will be taught by a Drexel University College of Medicine physician.  The six classes will include lively lectures followed by a "get your hands dirty" (but not too dirty) laboratory experience or small group learning session where interactive discussions between medical professors and students take place.

You will get information on some of the same subjects studied by real medical students. In addition, this is your chance to ask questions you've always wanted to ask. Open discussion, dialogue and lively debate between students and faculty will be an integral part of each session.
