Program Description 

The Women’s Health Education Program (WHEP) is a program of the Department of Medicine at the Drexel University College of Medicine.  Some of the activities of WHEP include:

  • Resource sessions and lectures to first through fourth year medical students.  These include:
    • Orientation to Women’s Health
    • Eating Disorders
    • Domestic Violence
  • Seminar Series, a weekly series for first and second year medical students.
  • Women’s Health Day – an annual ½ day themed seminar for the second year IFM students on a selected Women’s Health Topic.
  • Research through grants from the Office of Women’s Health, and the National Institutes of Health.
  • Community programs and women’s health workshops.
  • Women’s Health Pathway – part of the Pathway program for fourth year DUCOM students.
  • Women’s Health Electives – an elective for fourth year DUCOM students
