Hahnemann University Hospital is a 636-bed tertiary referral center that is located in center-city Philadelphia. Between 500 and 600 cardiac cases are performed each year at HUH, including beating-heart surgery, mitral valve repair through minimally invasive procedures, aortic operations, and operations for heart failure such as ventricular reconstruction, insertion of ventricular assist devices and cardiac transplantation. HUH is a level-one trauma center, and is the home for programs in robotic surgery and abdominal organ transplantation.
