Overview of the Fellowship Program

Drexel University College of Medicine offers a one to two year fellowship training program in EEG/Epilepsy. This ACGME approved fellowship program offers comprehensive training in routine and emergency EEG, scalp and intracranial EEG monitoring, interpretation of various neurophysiological testing in evoked potentials and sleep disorders. The Fellow will work in our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit located at Hahnemann University Hospital as well as in the Epilepsy unit located at MCP Hospital. Both units consist of a total of six hard-wired, state-of-the-art epilepsy monitors with sophisticated hardware and software computer programs. This Fellowship also offers ample opportunities for research in EEG source modeling. MR spectroscopy, diffusion intensive imaging and functional MRI in epilepsy.

Training in EMG is also an integral part of this program. Fellows will see patients weekly at the Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinic in Allentown, PA.
