How to Apply

We are accepting applications for the 2008-2009 academic year. We accept both pediatrics residency-trained individuals (3-year program) and emergency medicine residency-trained individuals (2-year program).

Interested candidates must complete a residency in pediatrics or emergency medicine at an accredited program. The DU/SCHC PEM Fellowship Program has adopted the uniform application and associated services provided by ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service). An online application is required of all applicants and 3 letters of reference will similarly be processed by ERAS. Applicants can access information on ERAS under “Pediatric Emergency Medicine (Emergency Medicine)” and its schedule for submission of documents at
www.aamc.org/eras. ERAS registration begins in mid-June 2007. For a more comprehensive description of this application system, please refer to the May 2007 issue of Pediatric Emergency Care.  Our application deadline is August 31, 2007.

Qualified applicants will be invited to interview with faculty members of the DU/SCHC Department of Emergency Medicine between September 1 and November 30, 2007. Applicants are selected through the Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Specialty Match conducted by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). To participate in the Match, the applicant must directly enroll with the NRMP; registration opens on August 2, 2007. Fellowship training at our program begins on July 1, 2008. Applicants can access information on the NRMP and the PEM Specialty Match schedule at
http://www.nrmp.org.
