Letter from the Program Director Minimize

Thank you for your interest in the July 2010 training program in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. The College of Medicine represents the merger of two medical schools that have over 300 years of combined history of training excellent physicians. Faculty, facilities and an ever-growing resource of outstanding clinical material provide a uniquely strong experience for fellowship training in one of America’s finest cities. Fellows have electives at Abington Memorial Hospital and Frankford Hospital. The program emphasizes a diverse clinical experience supported by a curriculum-based teaching program.

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is composed of highly dedicated full-time and voluntary faculty. Together they bring to the program diverse areas of expertise and research interests covering the full spectrum of gastroenterology and hepatology. They also bring many years of proven commitment to developing the careers of promising young physicians.

There are two spots available for 2010. We will be accepting applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) of the AAMC. You can apply through their website at www.aamc.org/eras. Selected applicants will be invited to interview (interviews are schedued in late winter or early spring). We will contact you if an interview is going to be scheduled.

Again, thank you for your interest. We will be looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Asyia S. Ahmad, M.D.
