Currently, three advanced positions are being offered in this non-pyramidal program.
Selection Process
The requirements for application to the Dermatology Residency Program at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA are as follows:
1. Applications are only accepted through the ERAS system.
2. The application deadline is November 1st of the current academic year.
3. Applicants must have proof of having graduated from an accredited Medical School within the past 5 years or be eligible for a medical degree.
4. All applicants must qualify for a medical training license in the State of Pennsylvania.
5. Applicants should have obtained competitive scores on the USMLE Steps 1 and 2.
6. We require three letters of recommendation in addition to the Dean’s Letter.
7. Any Foreign Medical School Graduates must have a current ECFMG Certificate and must have spent one year in medical training in the United States to be eligible to apply.
8. All applicants must fall under one of the following categories:
a. US Citizen
b. Permanent Resident
c. Eligible for a J-1 Visa *at this time we do not support H1-B Visas
Applications are reviewed by the department faculty. Prospective candidates are notified of their status and invited to interview in the fall and early winter. The interview day consists of a series of short meetings with all faculty members as well as a discussion period with current residents. Breakfast is served and applicants are free after 1:00PM.
