Health Insurance

All house staff members will receive health insurance and have the option of choosing between Personal Choice, Keystone POS, and Keystone HMO. A contribution toward the premium cost may be required, depending on which plan is selected. Contribution toward health insurance is made on a pre-tax basis. Coverage may also be purchased for spouse and children. Health benefits become effective on the thirty-first (31st) day of employment. House staff will be reimbursed for the purchase of bridge insurance to cover the 30-day waiting period.

Malpractice Insurance

House staff have malpractice insurance for the full time of employment only while engaged in activities necessary for the completion of the residency. Any work outside the scope of the residency program ("moonlighting") requires separate malpractice insurance.

Prescription Drug Coverage

Prescription drug coverage is included with each Tenet Select medical option and is only available if a medical option is chosen.

Vision

House staff will be required to contribute toward the premium. Contributions are taken on a pre-tax basis.

This is a non-contributory plan providing salary continuation and long-term disability benefits to all house staff.
