Facilities
Hahnemann Hospital is one of the principal teaching hospitals for Drexel University College of Medicine. Other hospitals in the system include St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and Graduate Hospital.
Wilkes-Barre Veterans Administration Medical Center
Located 100 miles north of Philadelphia near a scenic recreation area, the Wilkes-Barre Veterans Administration Medical Center (WBVAMC) provides excellent opportunities for teaching and patient care. Each second- and third-year resident obtains didactic and practical experience during the four-month rotation in a setting that encourages graded and supervised decision-making.
Faculty including John Kulits, M.D., Wilma Brucker, M.D., and volunteers in oculoplastics, glaucoma and retinal diseases permit comprehensive patient care. Monthly Grand Rounds with Drexel University College of Medicine faculty are held at this facility. The department provides apartment accommodations convenient to the hospital. |
