Letter from the Program Director

Dear Applicant:
Thank you for your interest in Drexel University College of Medicine training programs. As this website indicates, we are a program which can offer a large number of patient care settings, a diversity of patient populations, and a faculty with wide-ranging expertise and research interest. A significant aspect of the training philosophy in all of our programs involves a departmental commitment to residents as trainees and the value of providing clinical service only in the context of training. Our residency program provides a solid grounding in general psychiatry with extensive training in both psychopharmacology and specific focused training in psychotherapy.
Our over-arching goal is to provide our trainees with an outstanding educational and training experience and to assist them in becoming physicians who strive for excellence in all that they do. To that end, we are committed not only to providing rigorous, state-of-the-art training, but also to being maximally creative and flexible in responding to the individual resident’s training needs.
Sincerely,
Bryan Chambliss , M.D.
