Applications are submitted through ERAS or by written Universal Application through the mail.

The residency program requires a 12 month PGY1 transitional year. If applying in 4th year of medical school application should be made two (2) years in advance. If the applicant has had one (1) transitional year in an accredited program in the United States then an application may be submitted one (1) year in advance.

The position in the transitional year should be secured by the applicant.

All foreign medical graduates should have a valid ECMFG certificate and a valid visa.

All residents in our radiation oncology program should have a valid license in the State of Pennsylvania at the postgraduate number 2 level.
 
Selection Process
Applications are examined carefully. Selection generally is based on those applicants who most closely appear to meet the fundamental direction of the department in academic, research, clinical interests and strengths in particular areas. Medical school grades are evaluated carefully; USMLE I level is considered; past research experience and publications and past clinical experience and teaching are considered.
