Biomedical Graduate, Postgraduate and Professional Studies
Office of Medical Student Research
Welcome to the Office of Medical Student Research Home Page. Because of the importance of research in undergraduate medical education, the College of Medicine has recently established the Office of Research for Medical Students. The office will be jointly staffed through the Biomedical Graduate Studies Office and the Office of Student Affairs. This site was created to help medical students at Drexel Med find information on student research opportunities, summer externships, international and award opportunities.
A variety of opportunities are available to students who are interested in doing research while in medical school. Information about research taking place at Drexel may be found by using the Biomedical Graduate Studies searchable database; follow the links to the various departments to learn more about the research interests of the faculty. Information on the Medical Student Summer Research Fellowship Program can also be found on this site. The summer program is a great opportunity for first year medical students to engage in full time research under the direction of a member of the faculty. Previous research experience is helpful but not required. Information is also available in Office of Biomedical Graduate Studies (Suite 239 Queen Lane). Michele Morales will help you identify faculty with whom you might like to work.
