Who Should Apply?
The MLAS program was designed for individuals who have
a bachelor’s degree in animal science or a related
field and who are seeking advanced career positions
in laboratory animal science and laboratory animal facility
management. With an MLAS degree, you can hold a supervisory
position in biotechnology, pharmaceutical companies,
and institutions of higher learning. An MLAS degree
is also a powerful means to boost your credentials for
admission to veterinary school.

Testimonials
"I've
been accepted to Penn! My interviewer called me a few
hours after the interview to deliver the good news.
All of my hard work with MLAS and the interview
preparations really paid off"-Jennifer
Mitchell, MLAS 2003"
"When
I first started in the MLAS program I wanted to become
a veterinarian. However, after my first year, I learned
about other exciting opportunities in the animal science
field and decided to pursue a career in Lab Animal Management.
I finished my MLAS degree with a handful of job offers
for supervisory positions and I am now a facility manager”…Andrea
Scarry, MLAS ‘00
