I was born and raised in India. I belong to Punjab, one of the beautiful states of India. Fortunately, I got the opportunity to stay at different parts of India throughout my life and that helped me to experience different cultures of India and the delicious curries. Believe me, it’s too good an experience to believe. I received my Bachelors of Engineering in Electronics, from Nagpur University. I came to Drexel in the Fall-2003 for my Masters in Biomedical Engineering. I developed an interest in Functional Genomics and Bioinformatics during my Masters and want to continue my interest in the PhD program here at College of Medicine. Currently I am working with Dr. Lawrence W. Bergman for my Masters Thesis project to identify gene expression pattern of mouse malarial parasite Plasmodium Yoelii using oligonucleotide microarrays. I am still trying to become a life scientist from an engineer but that’s what keeps me going.
Apart from science, I am an avid sports lover; I have grown up playing cricket at various levels of competitions. I would like to travel all around the world and contribute toward making this world a better place to live with peace and harmony.
