Thesis Research Summary:

Though an Indian, I was born and brought up in Saudi Arabia where I did my initial schooling. Upon returning to India to pursue my higher studies, I delved into the realm of my subject of fascination - biotechnology. It was for this reason that I pursued the subject both at my undergraduate and graduate level. The subjects of modern biology, specifically molecular biology and immunology have always interested me. After graduating, I joined up full time as Research Assistant at the National Institute of Immunology (Delhi, India), which helped me to have an exposure and understanding of the scientific temperament that is required in research.

It was with this commitment and enthusiasm that I focused my career to the field of medical research. Drexel has helped me in realizing my ambitions by allowing me to pursue my doctoral studies. I look forward to a very scintillating study experience at Drexel, after which I plan to return to India and carry with my research work in the related field.

Apart from academics, I have always avidly participated and excelled in co-curricular activities such as elocution, debate, essay writing and general knowledge competitions. Story and article writing is my hobby. Basketball, volleyball and badminton are my favorite sport games. I also enjoy traveling and visiting new places.
