Drexel University College of Medicine has announced the research projects which will receive funding from the College’s portion of Pennsylvania’s tobacco settlement funds. Eight awards were made from 38 applications after a rigorous internal review process. They include projects in a variety of research areas such as cancer, Alzheimer's Disease and HIV. 

Drexel University College of Medicine will host surgeons from around the world for the first ever course dedicated to Single Port Access (SPA™) surgery - a minimally invasive procedure developed at Drexel that leaves patients with a hidden scar. The course will be held November 17-18, 2008 in Center City, Philadelphia.

Drexel University College of Medicine is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a series of events including a celebratory dinner, a commemorative book, and citations from the city of Philadelphia.

Congratulations to Drexel University College of Medicine internal medicine residents Joseph Vadakara, Vaibhav Sahni, Petros Grivas and Krishna Rao, who came in first at the American College of Physicians' Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter Doctor's Dilemma Competition, held Oct. 11 in Philadelphia.
